Staycity Aparthotels Dalston – Launch, Party & Event Production

On Kingsland High Street, a three-minute walk from Dalston Kingsland station, Staycity Aparthotels Dalston sits in the middle of one of East London’s most creative neighbourhoods. The six-storey aparthotel has 124 studios and apartments, a café-bar, a gym and a meeting and event room. That makes it a natural base for launches, parties and team events where guests can stay where they celebrate.

Peachy Productions provides event lighting, sound and AV at Staycity Dalston. We produced the aparthotel’s own launch party, so we know the building, its spaces and how to make them feel like an event rather than a hotel lobby.

The Staycity Dalston launch party

For the opening of Staycity Dalston, we were asked to turn the ground floor into a party space. We delivered:

• a ground-supported lighting rig and DJ position, so nothing was fixed to the brand-new building
• battery-powered LED battens washing the walls and seating areas in purple, red and warm amber, with no cable runs across guest areas
• the stairwell and chill-out area lit in oranges and reds, so the colour carried through the building
• a full DJ sound system, plus clear speech for welcomes and presentations

Lighting and sound for launches and parties

Hotel spaces are designed for daytime guests, not evening events. We change that with:

• lighting that washes walls and features in your brand colours
• dance floor and DJ lighting on free-standing truss
• sound systems for DJs, live acts and speeches, sized to the room so the music fills the space without disturbing guests upstairs

AV for meetings and team events

The meeting room suits workshops, presentations and team days, and apartment-style rooms suit visiting teams staying for several days. We supply screens and projection, microphones and PA, and hybrid video conferencing for colleagues joining remotely. A technician can run everything on the day.

Working in a live aparthotel

Staycity Dalston stays open to guests during events. We agree load-in times and noise levels with the hotel team in advance, use free-standing and battery-powered kit to keep cables away from guest areas, and de-rig quietly at the end of the night.
