At 181 Piccadilly, a few minutes’ walk from Green Park and Piccadilly Circus, Fortnum & Mason has been trading since 1707. Its flagship store is one of the most recognisable event addresses in London.

Private events at Fortnum & Mason, Piccadilly

Fortnum & Mason hosts private dinners, masterclasses, tastings, receptions and brand launches across several rooms in the Piccadilly store. In-house catering, an alcohol licence until midnight and lift access to every floor keep the practical side simple. Our job is to add the production that makes each event feel finished.

• The Food & Drink Studio: a working kitchen on the third floor. It seats up to 24 for dinners and masterclasses and holds up to 45 standing.

Chef’s table and masterclass production in the Food & Drink Studio

Live cooking needs guests to see and hear every step. In the Food & Drink Studio, we provide:

• lighting that flatters the food on the pass and looks good on camera
• headset or lapel microphones for the chef, with a sound engineer balancing speech against kitchen noise
• screens and cameras with close-up shots of the hob and plating, so every seat has a clear view
• live streaming and recording for online audiences, press and social content

Our technician runs the show on the day, switching cameras and levels so the chef can focus on cooking.

Lighting and sound for private dinners and receptions

In the Drawing Room and Tea Salon, one lighting design takes the evening from arrival to dessert:

• warm uplighting to bring out the colour and detail of the rooms
• pin-spotting for tables, centrepieces and the cake
• subtle stage or lectern lighting for welcomes and speeches

We supply discreet PA for hosts and toasts, background music playback and, for celebrations, sound for a DJ or live musicians.

Product launch and brand event production

A Fortnum & Mason address gives any launch instant credibility. We design the reveal around your product:

• set design and theming that brings your brand into the room
• LED screens or projection for countdowns, films and presentations
• lighting cues and sound that build to the moment of the reveal

We also provide presenter microphones, confidence monitors and recording, so the launch is ready to share afterwards.
