Dorney Court, near Windsor – Wedding & Event Production
Home to the Palmer family for fourteen generations, Dorney Court is a Grade I listed Tudor manor house in Buckinghamshire, just outside Windsor. It has gabled roofs, landscaped gardens and its own 12th-century church, St James the Less, on the estate.
A Tudor manor house wedding venue with real history
The interior has barely changed since 1500, which is part of why the house regularly appears on screen, including in Bridgerton, Poirot and Midsomer Murders. Dorney Court has hosted weddings since 1999 and has welcomed more than fifty celebrations. For couples who want history that is lived in rather than simply preserved, it is difficult to match.
Wedding spaces at Dorney Court
- The Great Hall: an intimate space for wedding ceremonies.
- The Coach House Barn: once the estate's Victorian brewery, now hosting wedding breakfasts and receptions for up to 150 guests.
- The private courtyard and North Lawn: room for drinks, croquet and photographs with the house as a backdrop.
- Gale Cottage: a self-catering cottage steps from the barn, where the couple or close family can stay overnight.
Wedding lighting and production at Dorney Court
Peachy Productions provides wedding and event lighting, sound and staging at Dorney Court. In the Coach House Barn, we use warm uplighting and festoon lighting to bring out the old brewery's beams and brickwork, and dance floor lighting for the evening. In the Great Hall, we keep ceremony sound discreet so the room's character comes first. Outside, we light the courtyard and the front of the house so the evening looks as good as the day.
A Grade I listed house needs a careful approach. We rig without fixings, use free-standing equipment, and work closely with the Palmer family's team to protect the building.
