Australia House, London – Event Production on the Strand

On the corner of the Strand and Aldwych, Australia House has been home to the Australian High Commission since King George V officially opened it in 1918. That makes it the oldest continuously occupied diplomatic mission in London, and one of the city's most distinctive event venues.

A Grade II listed venue built from Australian materials

The Grade II listed building was designed by Scottish architect Alexander Marshall Mackenzie. It was built largely from Australian materials, including trachyte stone and marble shipped from Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia. That gives the interior real character, right down to the Exhibition Hall, which doubled as Gringotts Wizarding Bank in the first Harry Potter film.
