Battersea Arts Centre

Housed in a Grade II listed Victorian town hall on Lavender Hill, Battersea Arts Centre pairs genuine architectural grandeur with a creative, slightly unexpected edge, the kind of building that has hosted Fleetwood Mac and The Jam as readily as weddings and awards dinners.

The Grand Hall, restored by architects Haworth Tompkins and winner of the RIBA Building of the Year award, holds up to 600 guests for a ceremony and seats up to 350 for a reception, with standing capacity reaching 800 for larger receptions and parties.

The adjoining Octagonal Hall, with its original stained glass domed ceiling and mosaic floor, suits welcome drinks or a more intimate ceremony for up to 50 seated guests.

Smaller spaces, including the wood panelled Council Chamber, which seats up to 160 for a ceremony, and the Members' Library, work well for conferences, meetings and breakout sessions.
