An example using lighting and set design for Halloween 2009. Our brief was to dress the exterior of the house for trick or treaters on all hollows eve. We used floral display plinths to highlight the entrance and dressed with trailing ivy, perched on top two large pumpkins where we took inspiration from the nightmare before Christmas for the carvings. A PA system played haunting sounds from the well on either side of the entrance. Light projected Flames licked the entrance way and bats lit the front of the house.
Theming for Halloween
To create a dark, spooky, misty atmosphere with enough lighting to highlight particular features within the venue whilst keeping the room low lit to hold the creepy halloween effect.
Dim hidden up lighters to highlight the cobweb covered walls and halloween figures around the room. Red Orange lighting outside to highlight the halloween setting outside. Bat gobo's projected onto the outside building.
